TOWNS IN THE SHIRE INCLUDE:

DEEPWATER is where the pastoralists settled in the 1830's noted for wool fat lambs, beef cattle, historic buildings, excellent Murray cod and golden perch fishing in the Deepwater River and designated streams.

GLENCOE home to the Red Lion Tavern known to many highway travellers. Surrounding district is rich in grazing lands, country hospitality and district drives.

BEN LOMOND is an historic village with loads of character. The Ben Lomond Store, featured in the movie Little Boy Lost, and the War Memorial Hall, was once crowded for silent movies.

EMMAVILLE a bustling tin mining town last century, then known as Vegetable Creek. Site of Emmaville Mining Museum, Vegetable Creek hospital and historic buildings The Club and Tattersalls Hotel.
