Just 90 minutes drive north of Sydney, The Hunter covers a boundless 12,000 square kilometres, and offers visitors the choice of coast and country, beaches and mountains, wilderness and wineries, peaceful country towns and charming cities.


SOMETIMES you have to travel a long way to enjoy the variety that's the spice of life. But it all comes together in the Hunter Region, where each of the Hunter's diverse areas provide a complete holiday in their own right!

Barrington Tops, Hunter Valley Wine Country, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Newcastle, Singleton and Upper Hunter Country are in close proximity, meaning you need to travel only short distances to enjoy a great variety of experiences.

Two or three nights will give you a great short break however the Hunter Region is a destination for at least a week if its attractions are to be fully explored.
