The Mary Valley - National Country Music Muster is held in a natural bush setting and provides one of the most spectacular entertainment venues in Australia, as thousands of people head for Amamoor Creek State Forest Park to attend the last weekend of August each year!



The Mary Valley – Scenic Way – is the main route linking the towns of the Valley With several back roads providing picturesque alternatives.

This area is a patchwork of pineapple plantations, grazing properties and macadamia nut farms at various stages of growth.

AMAMOOR LOOKOUT – offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and a 'sun dial' pillar provides information on local landmarks. The view takes in Amamoor Creek – Home of the National Country Music Muster. State Forest Park of Amama is the ideal place for a picnic in the rainforest. Cedar Grove is noted for its red cedar trees, the Amamoor Creek flows around the park providing campers with cool fresh water for swimming.

IMBIL LOOKOUT & STATE FOREST - offer more great views with the township of Imbil is nestled beside Yabba Creek, perfect for horse riding and the Imbil Markets are held each Sunday.

Lake Borumba for days of picnics, swimming, fishing and camping. The lake is home to Golden Perch, Australian Bass and Saratoga and the Mary River Cod. Recreational boating and water skiing are also very popular.

Bellbird habitats are dotted throughout the forests in the Valley and it's not unusual to hear them even while just driving by. The Imbil State Forest offers the easiest bellbird habitat location to visit.

The Mary Valley is an Australia rural hinterland at its best!
