WA - NANNUP - THE GARDEN VILLAGE

This historic small town is nestled in the hills alongside the Blackwood River and is especially impressive in the spring when the wild flowers in the surrounding forest are plentiful.



There are numerous walking trails including: The Timberline Trail, The Town Heritage Trial, The River Walk along the Blackwood River, The Wildflower Walk through the Jarrah Forest and the Foreshore trails.

Nannup is an art haven with many art and craft stalls displaying works inspired by the beauty of Nannup and Western Australia.

Scenic drives offer several beautiful places to stop for picnics besides the river. The nearby Barrabup Pool is a lovely natural pool for swimming and a great spot for picnics.

Red Gully is another ideal picnic and swimming spot with walking trails.
Nannup offers many interesting attractions and activities. Excellent fishing (trout fishing and marroning when in season) is offered on the river as is swimming and canoeing (both calm and rapids).

Nannup comes alive with the performers from around the world and across Australia annually with the Folk and Music Festival! Held on the Long Weekend in March, the festival is set in the heart of the beautiful Jarrah Forest, beside the Blackwood River

The annual Flower & Garden Festival which is held in August is a spectacle to admire, as the town comes alive in a myriad of colour. Tulips and daffodils adorn the streets, as the Garden Village is abloom with nature's glorious winter flowers.

There are many attractions on offer throughout the Nannup region including Western Australia's only Jarrah mill, all part of the heritage trail.
