VIC - STAWELL - THE GOLD TOWN!

The City Of Stawell is the largest town in the Northern Grampians Shire and a thriving service centre for the Grampians National Park.

Founded on gold, which still remains today, Stawell's history has been preserved in the buildings and attractions around the township. Best known for it's prestigious professional footrace, the Stawell Easter Gift, Stawell offers a wealth of attractions including the Town Hall with it's animated clock and Westminster chimes and is also the centre for thoroughbred racing in Western Victoria.

The Gold Reef Mall, Victoria’s first pedestrian mall, is the town centre and meeting place from which the main street horizon tapers into magnificent views of the Grampians Ranges.

Stawell Gold Mine is today Victoria’s largest gold producing mine, operating a major underground mine and continued underground exploration.

Supported by a highly skilled workforce, cost effective land, excellent water supply and utilities, Stawell affords numerous opportunities for growth and investment including commercial development, tourism, wine and olive growing and professional services.

Stawell provides abundant shopping, a strong art and cultural base, entertainment centre and excellent sporting and medical facilities.

The Townships of the Northern Grampians Region are all ideally situated on the Western Highway transport route between Melbourne and Adelaide.
