Blackwater is home to approx. 6000 people, It's main industry is coal mining.

There are also many support industries, Churchs, Schools, Clubs, Gardens/Parks, The Hospital, The Pool and etc. It is well worth a visit and is on the main Capricorn highway west 2 hrs.

It is worth looking at retiring here as it is between the salt and fresh water, (the Fish and the Redclaw). The houses are very affordable, ranging from ok to very good quality.

Blackwater is a friendly town with all the mod. cons. and a hospital.
