NSW - CLIFTON Acres of Opportunity Awaits!

The Clifton countryside is one of farms, open forests, woodlands and grasslands. There's a majestic sweep to the skyline and the natural world is always close at hand.

Our shire has a lot of character and history including old buildings like Rudd's Pub at Nobby. Clifton has been the favoured location for several TV films and commercials, as well as movies. It is really interesting when film crews are in the district. Locals often star as 'extras'.

The Clifton railway station dates back to the last century. It was chosen as the backdrop for a scene from Thornbirds: The Missing Years. Richard Chamberlain and Amanda Donohue stopped in at the Club Hotel for a bite to eat.

Clifton town and Spring Creek are the perfect bases for exploring Darling Downs attractions such as the Leslie Dam (try the fishing!) and the Goomburra National Park.

The area's agricultural foundations are confirmed every year at the Clifton Show.
