Seisia wharf is a hub of activity, with ferries leaving bound for Thursday Island, boats of all descriptions come and go, it is said to be the best wharf fishing spot in Australia! Seisia Wharf is a fishermans delight with it's abundance of queenfish, trevally, tuna and mackeral.The nearby estuaries are vast enough to keep anglers busy for a life time with hundreds of kilometers of well protected waterways for those who pursue barramundi, mangrove jacks, fingermark and salmon.
Bamaga is the main town of the area, about 8km from Bamaga is the village of Seisia, overlooking the Torres Strait.
